I am a 60 year old man who just graduated from Columbia College Chicago on May 2007. I have a student loan of over 30k and just found out that my interest charges are 150.00 a month. I damn near hit the roof of my hotel room. Shocked is what I was.
I just never dreamed of such a rip off. When your trying to upgrade your life like all the people who have places in this world say you should you just don't think of that kind of stuff when your hittin the books and strugglin to make it at the same time.
I guess that is my fault but I think we the STUDENTS OF THE COUNTRY should get a bailout too. IF the banks can get bailed out and the car companies can get bailed out and wall street can get bailed out so can we the students of our country.
I would like to ask the students of this country to join me in a INTEREST FORGIVEN STUDENT LOAN BAILOUT. I would like all you other students to join me in raising the room on this INTEREST RIP OFF by the banks who just got bailed out.
WE NEED IT SO LET'S HOLLA, AND RAISE THE ROOF AND CHANGE THE WAY WE GET OUR MONEY. EDUCATION SHOULD NOT BREAK THE BANK OF ITS CITEZENS IT SHOULD HELP. Thank you and pass the word on.
